Key traffic figures April 2026
In April 2026, 2,948,839 passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to an increase of 6.1% compared to last year.
In April, the number of local passengers was 2,151,596. Transfer passengers amounted to 26.9%, equal to 793,006 passengers.
Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 5.0% to 23,488 take-offs and landings. The average number of passengers per movement increased to 139.3 (+1.1% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was 82.3% (+1.7 percentage points vs. previous year).
A total of 36,694 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of April. This represents a decrease of 2.1% in freight volume compared to last year.
