Zürich/Basel, 19. Mai 2014 – UBS verlängert die Sponsoring Verträge mit Athletissima Lausanne, Weltklasse Zürich, UBS Kids Cup und dem Leichtathletik-Verband Swiss Athletics um weitere vier Jahre. Neu unterstützen wir auch die Galà dei Castelli in Bellinzona. Diese Leichtathletik-Engagements bilden wichtige Eckpfeiler der aktuellen Sponsoring-Aktivitäten von UBS.
Lukas Gähwiler, CEO UBS Schweiz, erklärt: «Die Unterstützung von Sport und Kultur in der Schweiz und für die Schweiz hat bei UBS eine lange Tradition. Im Sport engagieren wir uns in allen Regionen. Dabei liegt mir besonders die Förderung von Kindern und Jugendlichen am Herzen. Viele Talente finden über die Leichtathletik ihren Weg in den Spitzensport. Deshalb unterstützen wir den Breitensport ebenso wie Top Anlässe.»
Seit Sommer 2011 ermöglicht UBS das Leichtathletik-Nachwuchsprogramm UBS Kids Cup, das jährlich über 100 000 Kinder im Alter bis zu 15 Jahren in der ganzen Schweiz bewegt. UBS ist zudem stolz, seit mehr als 30 Jahren Partner der beiden Schweizer Diamond League-Veranstaltungen in Lausanne und Zürich zu sein.
Besonderes Highlight sind in diesem Jahr die Leichtathletik-Europameisterschaften in Zürich. UBS unterstützt diesen einmaligen Anlass als «International Partner» und begleitet das Schweizer Team als «Leading Partner» zu diesem Ereignis. Volle Stadien, begeisterte Fans und natürlich vor allem die erhofften Höchstleistungen unserer Athletinnen und Athleten werden für unvergessliche Momente sorgen.
Im Weiteren unterstützt UBS unter anderem auch den Spengler Cup Davos, das nächste Eidgenössische Schwing- und Älplerfest 2016 in Estavayer-le-Lac und kulturelle Veranstaltungen in der ganzen Schweiz wie die Art Basel, das Montreux Jazz Festival und das Festival del Film Locarno.

UBS extends its support of Swiss athletics
Zurich/Basel, 19 May 2014 – UBS is extending its sponsorship deals with Athletissima Lausanne, Weltklasse Zürich, UBS Kids Cup and the Swiss Athletics association by a further four years. We are also beginning to sponsor the Galà dei Castelli athletics event in Bellinzona. These athletics commitments are cornerstones of UBS's current sponsorship activities.

Since the summer of 2011, UBS has been nurturing talents in the field of athletics through the UBS Kids Cup, which reaches over 100,000 children up to 15 years of age throughout Switzerland every year.
