Die europäische Kartellbehörde hat heute nach Abschluss der kartellrechtlichen Prüfung die geplante Übernahme des niederländischen Unternehmens Alpha International B.V., Nijmegen, durch die ALSO Holding AG ohne Auflagen genehmigt. Im Jahre 2012 meldete Alpha International B.V. einen Umsatz von rund

587 Millionen Euro und beschäftigte rund 108 Mitarbeiter. Mit dieser Akquisition wird ALSO seine Expertise im Supply-Geschäft in allen Ländern, in denen Alpha und ALSO vertreten sind, verstärken und weiterentwickeln. Das Unternehmen wird als Tochtergesellschaft der ALSO Holding AG zugeordnet. Ralph Wouters van den Oudenweijer wurde zum Managing Director von Alpha International B.V., ALSO Nederland B.V. und zum Leiter des ALSO Competence Centers Printing Supplies ernannt. Er berichtet direkt an den CEO der ALSO-Gruppe. Die Transaktion wird bis zum Ende des Monats abgeschlossen.

ALSO Group: European Cartel Authority Approves Acquisition of Alpha International B.V.

On completion of its legal examination of the planned acquisition by ALSO Holding AG of the Dutch company Alpha International B.V., Nijmegen, the European Directorate-General of Competition has given its unconditional approval. In 2012, Alpha International B.V. reported revenue of approximately 587 million euros and had around 108 employees. With this acquisition, ALSO aims to strengthen and further develop its expertise in the Supplies business in all countries in which Alpha and ALSO are represented. The company will become a subsidiary of ALSO Holding AG. Ralph Wouters van den Oudenweijer has been appointed Managing Director of Alpha International B.V., ALSO Nederland B.V. and Head of the ALSO Competence Center Printing Supplies. He rapports directly to the CEO of the ALSO-Group. The transaction will be completed by the end of month.
