Ascom begann das 2. Halbjahr mit dem Gewinn von zwei bedeutenden Aufträgen mit einem Gesamtwert im hohen einstelligen Millionenbereich.

Wireless Solutions gewinnt Auftrag im Wert von CHF 4,7 Mio von einem OEM-Kunden
Die Division Wireless Solutions vermochte sich gegen harte Konkurrenz durchzusetzen und gewann einen Auftrag im Wert von CHF 4,7 Mio für die Lieferung einer umfassenden DECT-basierten drahtlosen Kommunikationslösung sowie Handsets für Mission-Critical Wireless Communication.

Ausschlaggebend für die Wahl von Wireless Solutions als Partner war für den OEM-Kunden die Erfüllung seiner hohen Anforderungen bei der Betriebszeit mit ununterbrochener Kommunikation, der Informationssicherheit und der Zuverlässigkeit sowie die vielfach unter Beweis gestellte Kompetenz und Erfahrung von Ascom.

Network Testing erhält bedeutenden Auftrag von Swisscom
Die Division Network Testing schloss mit Swisscom einen dreijährigen Vertrag ab, dessen Gesamtwert im niedrigen einstelligen Millionenbereich liegt.

Nach einem umfangreichen und detaillierten Evaluationsverfahren entschied sich Swisscom für mehrere Produkte aus dem Portfolio von Ascom Network Testing für die Erweiterung, Verbesserung und fortlaufende Kontrolle der Leistung ihres Mobilfunknetzes. Mit dieser Vereinbarung gehen Swisscom und Ascom eine langfristig ausgerichtete Partnerschaft ein. Ascom wird, basierend auf den Erfordernissen von Swisscom, die weitere Entwicklung der TEMS-Produkte mit entsprechenden Funktionen und Geräteintegrationen koordinieren. Ausserdem übernimmt Ascom während der Vertragslaufzeit den Support und Upgrade der Produkte.

ASCOM WINS TWO SUBSTANTIAL ORDERS IN BOTH DIVISIONS

Ascom started the second half-year 2014 with the win of two substantial orders with a combined value of a high single digit CHF million amount.

Wireless Solutions wins a CHF 4.7 million order from an OEM customer
The Wireless Solutions division wins in a fierce competition a CHF 4.7 million order, which contains a comprehensive DECT wireless network solution and handsets for mission-critical communication.

The main reason for the OEM customer to choose Wireless Solutions as the partner in this deal was the end users high demand on up-time with uninterrupted communication, information security and reliability, in combination with Ascom proven competence and experience.

Network Testing receives a substantial order from Swisscom
The Network Testing division signed a three-year contract with Swisscom with a value of a lower single digit CHF million amount. After an extensive and detailed evaluation, Swisscom selected several products from the Ascom Network Testing portfolio to expand, improve, and continuously monitor the performance of its wireless network. With this agreement, Swisscom and Ascom have entered into a long-term partnership in which Ascom will coordinate the development of TEMS products with features and device integration recommended by Swisscom’s requirements. Ascom will also provide product support and upgrades for the duration of the contract.
